Princess Productions is looking for groups of the country’s unlikeliest dancers who are part of a wedding party – bridesmaids or groomsmen to take part in TV series Ashley Banjos Secret Street Crew where  big-name professional dancer Ashley will try to teach Brit’s to dance.

Flowers
The most popular and elegant bouquet flower is still the rose, whilst lilies, orchids and tulips provide a trendier choice for those modern themed weddings. The tightly-bound bouquet from previous seasons has now been replaced by a looser casual bouquet representing a ‘just picked’ look.  Vivid flower colours however are still a popular choice.

Wedding Cakes
Those wedding cakes decorated with handmade icing flowers and delicate patterns still remain popular. However couples are starting to choose cakes that fit in with the chosen wedding location and the chosen theme for the day. Cupcakes are becoming extremely popular with modern day weddings where guests each have an individual cake.
Popular cake flavours include lemon, carrot and chocolate, although couples are now choosing non-traditional flavours such as gingerbread and hazelnut. Instead of the traditional bride and groom structure at the top of the cake, couples are now choosing modern lettering and sculptures.

Favours
One increasingly popular favour for modern weddings is a Candy Buffet, where sweets and candy are placed in large decorative glass bowls on the table. Guests can fill up their own little bags as take home favours – these can also be an idea for table decorations. Couples are starting to design their own personalised favours that also double up as name cards on the table, this provides a more creative feel to the wedding.

The Long Sleeve Wedding Dress

After many years of the strapless bridal gown style reigning supreme, sleeves are back for the bride of 2012. In 2009 the long sleeved wedding dress was first noticed in the public eye when Donald Trump’s socialite daughter, Ivanka, chose the more conservative style for her wedding day.

Since 2009 the crave for long sleeved wedding dresses has snowballed, one of the most recent being that of Catherine Duchess of Cambridge, formally known as Kate Middleton. Since the Royal Wedding in 2011, members of the public flocked to stores to buy replicas of the dress for their own weddings. It is no doubt that the Duchess looked fabulous in the Design by Sarah Burton, who later went on to win Desginer of the Year. This look does not have to come at a cost – many designers have developed replicas for the general public.
For 2012 the long sleeved dress is right on trend, for petite brides the sleeves flatter the hips and for tall brides the sleeves provide class and elegance. Mixing seductive style with conservative coverage the sleeved dresses are definatly a popular choice for most brides in 2012.

Other Wedding Dress Trends

Illusion Necklines – These dresses prove a popular choice for weddings this season, for a romantic and elegant coverage suggestion.

Two Tiered Skirts – This season designers have focused on hemlines and the introduction of the two tiered skirt for the wedding dress is a super flattering choice.

Blush Colours – Usually a bride will opt for a white or ivory dress, anything different would be considered a dangerous move. However over the past few seasons pops of colour have been seen. Blush and pink colours have appeared dozens of times on recent catwalks for this season. The popularity for this colour may be due to Reese Witherspoons blush Monique Lhuiller wedding gown.

Tip 1 – Many make-up artists suggest the use of a primer as a base coat before the make-up is applied. It prepares the skin for make-up and creates a protective base for the foundation. These primers can be purchased from Debenhams and John Lewis for around £19 for 30ml. If using a tinted primer go for a colour that matches your skin tone. Apply the primer evenly on top of your normal moisturiser  (making sure this contains sun protection) Apply the primer with a sponge for all over coverage.

Smooth the skins surface and evens out skin tone, creates a perfect surface for your makeup,  disguises skin flaws and imperfections, nourishes your skin, creates a protective base for longer-lasting foundation, reduces redness and inflammation. It also prevents oil and shiny skin. Makeup primers can work especially good for those with oily skin by reducing the excess shine on the forehead, nose and chin. Make up primers also allow your skin to breathe normally therefore the pores do not become clogged up.

Tip 2 – Many individuals become confused about what shade of foundation to use, often choosing a darker tone. The key is too choose a colour that matches your skin tone as best as possible; apply using a foundation brush or sponge for all over even coverage. It may seem like more make-up than you are used to, but remember that for photographs and all-day longevity, powder is essential to set the foundation and concealer. Make sure the application of the powder is even, don’t just do your face it is important to blend the make-up into the neck area to avoid a ring around your face.

Tip 3 – For the eyes, use a lighter shade of eye shadow as a base and for a dramatic look use a darker shade close to the eyelashes. However don’t over do it with harsh colouring, on pictures you want to look as natural as possible. It is best to stick to natural shades such as browns and beige.
When applying mascara use two coats to create an extended look. Also opt for waterproof mascara as you will be more than likely to cry ‘happy tears’ on your big day and you will need to avoid those panda eyes. If any mascara spills onto the cheeks, one tip is too not wipe it straight away leave it to dry and simply pick off with a cotton bud. This will prevent smudging the mascara on the skin meaning the foundation will be uneven.

Tip 4 – One important factor when applying make-up is the lip liner and lipstick used. Make-up artists suggest using a lip liner shade that matches your natural skin tone. If your having dramatic eyes the lips should usually be left plain in order to prevent the face from looking to over the top. For daytime weddings, both eyes and lips should be minimal as the day light will also assist the photographs.

Tip 5 – One tip is too use a finishing spray once the make-up is completed, many make-up artists use this technique in the beauty industry. One brand that is popular within the industry is ‘Model in a Bottle’ which can be bought from John Lewis for £20-£30. This spray will ensure the make-up lasts all day and night staying in perfect condition, meaning less touch ups are needed throughout the day.

Cardiovascular exercise is important as it gets the heart rate up, even 20 minutes of this can be extremely beneficial. Do some form of cardio exercise (running, swimming, cycling or rowing) three – four times per week. Add arm exercises such as bicep curls and reverse fly’s into your routine three – four times a week. For each exercise, do three sets of 12 to 15 repetitions. Start with 3- or 5-pound dumbbells then within a few weeks, you will be most likely graduate to heavier weights. Don’t panic ladies, using heavier weights will not make you bulky, it will make your arms look toned and defined.
However, it is not all based on exercise; it is important to also watch your dietary habits. Eat sensible portions of low-fat, low-cal foods making sure you get enough protein rich foods such as chicken. Following these steps should create sleek and toned arms and also improve your overall health!
